2024
variable edition of 5
7 x 9 (closed), 42 pages
This handmade artist's book, with original prose, is a journey through the fog of new widowhood. The story conveys the raw emotion of overwhelming grief, remembering and mourning what was lost, and the eventual realization that moving forward is necessary.
Transparent pages provide the experience of not being able to see very far ahead and not knowing where the path may lead. The unbound presentation and wispy edging further the "widow's fog" feel. The fog eventually lightens and offers the possibility of a hopeful future.
The tulle fabric pages and cover have been embedded with layers of yarn fiber. Each page has hand-stitched edging. Digitally printed. Signed and numbered.
